In this role, you will lead a global team of diverse site reliability engineers. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, managing the team that provides our next-generation ecosystem for AI applications and services, based upon Red Hat technologies. As a Manager, you'll also need solid leadership and organizational skills, and the demonstrated ability to work across teams moving at speed.
The Red Hat IT AI Application Platform team is looking for an IT manager to help us grow the team responsible for our Red Hat technology based AI Application Platform.
What will you do:
Manage a global team of platform engineers that deliver and operate our next-gen AI Application Platform
Implement and mature our approach to engaging with the platform’s tenants and stakeholders; deepening our understanding of their needs, and our ability to ensure their success
Collaborate with architecture functions to develop and maintain the platform strategy, and the associated prioritized backlog
Mature operational processes, including incident, problem, and change management for the platform
Ensure that incidents are managed and resolved quickly, and that retrospectives and root-cause analysis are completed within expected timelines
Develop and grow team members through coaching, feedback, and escalation support
Represent the platform and team in various external events, including internal customer calls
Serve as the IT Service Owner for the platform, including performing duties such as cost management and demand forecasting
What will you bring:
10+ years experience in technical roles, including software development, reliability engineering, or live service operations
5+ years of experience in the same role or in a role that involves leading a technology team providing digital platforms or services, including experience leading and managing global technology teams consisting of software developers, DevOps engineers, and analysts.
Ability to understand, discuss, and drive to resolution deep technical issues with staff
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present to customers, partners, and other stakeholders
3+ years managing spend for services under your purview, including services offered in public cloud provider environments
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business information systems, management information systems, or a related field
