Job SummaryBattelle is seeking an IT Audit Manager, Internal Audit to lead a comprehensive information technology (IT) and information security (IS) internal audit program for Battelle. Plan, organize, direct, and oversee IT audit activity by providing independent and objective analyses, appraisals, and recommendations on all aspects of IT and IS operations; compliance with policies and regulations; safeguarding of assets; and identification of any irregularities, fraud, and other acts that pose significant risks to Battelle.
This position will report to Battelle’s Chief Audit Executive and will be responsible for partnering with internal business clients, management, and members of the Internal Audit team to effectively provide exemplary, pro-active, and timely audit services. To succeed in this fast-paced environment requires strong leadership skills, demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively, commitment to innovation and continuous process improvement, and ownership of results.
There is a strong preference for this position to be based at Battelle’s world headquarters in Columbus, Ohio; however, a remote work arrangement will be considered for the right candidate.
Key Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting or Finance;10 years of audit experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in a related field.Department of Defense Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.Working knowledge of professional security frameworks and standards (COSO, COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001, PCI- DSS, CIS Critical Security Controls, DFARS, etc.).Understanding of current cyber security trends with a commitment to continuous learning to stay current regarding applicable strategies, regulatory and legal requirements, and available technologies. Hands on administration experience with a variety of systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX, Mainframe, Active Directory, RACF, etc.)Experience developing strategies and methodologies for utilizing data analytics in an audit environment.Understanding of auditing standards (IPPF, Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, etc.)Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications Two years prior management experience.Prior experience with risk advisory and internal controls.Strong Excel, Word, Teams, Access, and/or Visio skills.Professional certification (CISA, CISSP, CIA, etc.) or progress toward certification.Experience developing strategies and methodologies for utilizing data analytics in an audit environment.
