Manager, IT Project Office
POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager, IT Project Management Office (PMO) leads a team of Business Analysts, IT Support Specialists and Application Specialists, some of whom are not co-located with the Manager. This team is charged with providing support to all of the business applications in enterprise in their full life cycle, from conception and requirements gathering to post-implementation support and enhancement. The person fulfilling this role should possess extraordinary knowledge of how projects are organized, executed and managed as well as the skills necessary to lead teams and individuals to achieve their full potential. Must be able to work full time on-site in Medford or Springfield, OR. This position is not eligible for remote work. MAJOR TASKS: • Coach subordinates and help them to grow in their specific roles as well as how to function as a high-performing team. Establish guidelines necessary for each role so that job performance expectations are clear to each subordinate. Provide annual performance reviews for those individuals supervised. • Facilitate and manage the activities of an Enterprise-wide IT Steering Committee, gathering and presenting proposed IT projects for consideration and prioritization by committee members. • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business operations within the company, including core supply chain operations as well as supporting functions such as Accounting, HR/Payroll, Marketing, Compliance, and Safety. • Establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of employees in the organization. • Establish and manage to a high standard of customer service to internal customers for the services provided. • Facilitate/participate in project management activities as needed; may involve coordinating with and assisting project managers, leading small projects, and coaching and mentoring team members on project management best practices. • Participates, as needed, and/or manages team members in full life cycle of all IT projects from concept to closure. • Actively participate in the formation and ongoing maintenance of the IT capital and expense budgets in collaboration with fellow IT leaders. SKILL REQUIREMENTS: • 5+ years’ experience in managing teams, preferably in an Information Technology capacity. • 5+ years’ experience managing information technology projects. • Bachelor of Science degree in Business, IT, or related fields preferred. • Understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O application preferred • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members and management in person or remotely. • Effectively facilitate meetings of all types such as business requirements sessions, problem resolution discussions, decision meetings, and routine team meetings. • Strong prioritization and organizational skills, including the ability to maintain several concurrent projects while providing realistic delivery dates and managing customer expectations.
