About Team: 

Join the Intellectual Property Center of Excellence team to support Walmart’s global patent portfolio.  You will collaborate with and assist patent attorneys, inventors, and the business segments to support the invention disclosure intake process, address patent-related questions, and generate dashboards and reports about internal patent statistics. 

The Intellectual Property Center of Excellence works to ensure that Walmart’s intellectual property and intellectual property rights, such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, are protected and maintained.
 

What you'll do:

Assisting patent attorneys with conducting patent trainings for Walmart personnelPerforming outreach to Walmart personnel, including in India, and helping personnel to identify potentially patentable innovations and to draft invention disclosuresAssist with conducting patent landscape, freedom to operate, and patentability searchesParticipating in internal patent team meetings and patent committee meetingsUtilizing and maintaining an internal patent database, ensuring data quality, and generating dashboards and reports to track relevant patent statistics and metricsProposing and maintaining internal best practices and procedures to support the company’s patent program, including keeping and updating process documentsResponding to routine inventor and business inquiries related to patent status and patent metrics
