About the Job:

 

The Manager of Loss Prevention is responsible for the communication, education, and enforcement of all policies and procedures that will prevent losses to the company. They are required to work with all levels of management, both store and corporate, to ensure that losses are prevented where possible, detected and corrected when they do occur. Both individual stores and region shrink (loss) are required to always be in line with company goals.

 

 

A day in the life, what you’ll be doing:

 

Conducts internal investigations that are satisfactorily resolved in a timely manner, without creating any issues of liability for the company. Reviews video tape footage where applicable and relative to the resolution and prosecution of internal cases Conducts comprehensive audits of financial reporting including but not limited to bank deposits, cash shortages, cash refunds, all receipt media review and analysists in an effort to uncover internal fraud Consistently reviews computer generated exception reports, such as refund reports that reflect high percentage of cashier refund to sales or void history, indicative of internal fraud, in effort to identify internal shrink Assists with monitoring store compliance regarding company initiatives involving but not limited to operations, store to store transfers, RFID compliance, shipment compliance and or all operational compliance initiatives Communicates to District Sales Managers during weekly status calls and as needed, store loss prevention issues, internal alert signals that affect inventory loss within the stores. Makes recommendations that will help improve the operational integrity of the store Conducts loss prevention training and awareness through store visits and meetings designed to educate both management and associates regarding internal and external theft alert signals and recovery techniques Conducts comprehensive loss prevention audits, assists in developing action plans and coaches/trains store management to maintain loss prevention and safety programs along with operational controls Establishes professional relationships with law enforcement agencies to include various judicial courts, for purpose of preparing and presenting dishonest employee cases for prosecution Reports to Senior Manager of LP, all shrink and operational issues such as internal shrink causes, bank deposit policy violations, cash or merchandise theft, refund fraud, violation of any and all LP policies. Reports conclusive investigative information, such as known causes of shrink and operational integrity within the stores.

 

What it takes to Join:

 

4+ years experience in Loss Prevention and Specialty Retail Management with a proven track record of shrink reduction 4 year degree preferred Experience with investigations/knowledge of investigation techniques Wicklander-Zulawski Criminal Investigative Interviewing Techniques certification preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills · Ability to work as a team member Proficient in computer skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience with exception-based shrink reporting systems such as Aspect Developing the Community/ Leadership Qualities: Operate with the highest level of conduct, integrity, and confidentiality; setting the example for leaders and associates. Develop and nurture strong cross functional partnerships; driving business results and inspiring a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability. Serve as a Pacsun advocate in the industry and marketplace. Recruit, identify, develop, and retain talent that delivers performance excellence. As a manager, serve as a leader of company culture, norms, and conduct. Ability to balance a strong management presence with a high level of approachability, encouraging and eliciting associate feedback and interaction.

 

 

Salary Range: $105,178-$113,429

The associate is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; as well as reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting. Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions. Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building. Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel may be required.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

 

This is a full-time position. As a National Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
