The Vertical Marketing Manager is a part of the APJ Corporate Strategy and Marketing team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a Vertical Marketing Manager, you will drive regional growth by providing market and competitor intelligence to inform business strategy and collaborating with colleagues across businesses and countries. You will work with country and divisional marketing teams to develop and implement segment related business growth strategies in ONE Thermo Fisher approach. Drive workflow-based content development, tools, assets, sales enablement, and demand generation programs to drive growth across businesses and region.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Planning & Strategy:

Addressable Market: Build models to understand market size and penetration across different segments and countries.Trend Analysis: Report on trends as well as workflow opportunities in the Semiconductor and Clean Energy sectors.Market Dynamics: Track policies and investments to understand their impact on our business.Competitive Analysis: Analyse competitors’ performance, portfolios, and strategies.Playbook: Develop a comprehensive playbook of effective methods and approaches, both globally and regionally, to assist in the implementation of country strategies.2. Business Partnering:Content Development: Develop cohesive workflow and marketing materials that align with our total value proposition. Collaborate with divisions to develop web pages, presentations, newsletters, brochures, etc. to position our company as an industry leader and drive customer engagement.Sales Enablement: Build and drive sales training, assets and tools to drive workflow-based selling and cross-selling to contribute to company business goals. Build cross-sell role plays that train teams to sell total value propositions of our portfolio.Demand Generation: Own the development and deployment of cross-divisional marketing campaigns to build recognition, drive awareness, and stimulate demand. Drive web and digital promotion efforts for new contact acquisitions and lead generation.Thought Leadership: Identify and manage strategic collaborations with associations and KOLs to position us as a leading player.3. Operational Effectiveness:Leverage technology, such as Power BI, to automate insights gathering and sharing.Maintain and check out marketing effectiveness to ensure marketing investment have been used in an effective and efficient manner.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:Master’s Degree in analytical chemistry, material sciences, engineering, physics and related disciplines advanced marketing degree as a plus.8+ years’ experience in scientific/analytical/life sciences instruments industry5+ years’ experience in marketing, product management or business developmentBackground in semiconductors or battery marketing/business development is preferred.Good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, interact, and work with individuals and groups.
