The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for the development and supervision of all communications strategies for the Nordson ICS Division. This individual will oversee the development of goals, strategies, and implementation plans to execute comprehensive marketing campaigns. The incumbent will promote the creation, enhancement, and development of programs to promote the Nordson ICS Division products and its services. Some marketing goals will include maintaining the brand integrity of the ICS Division and strategically positioning the division as a trusted source for knowledge while establishing the ICS division status as an industry leader. The Marketing Communications Manager will also oversee the launch and managing of new products, services, and associated brands to meet profitability goals and targets
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Developing and executing a results-driven, multi-platform communications strategy and plan in line with corporate and brand direction while reflecting divisional prioritiesCreating and managing all marketing materials and collateral in line with brand directionImplementing online marketing activities including social media, SEO/SEM, demand generation, lead generation, etc.Tracking effectiveness of various campaigns and course corrections as requiredManaging communications spend and working with vendors and agencies to create and/or localize communications and marketing activities and develop supporting assetsLeading the planning and implementation of PR and initiatives related to the brandCollaborate with other teams to identify the public voice of the Nordson brandCreate style guides and brand voice outlines for all public relations, marketing, advertising and other vital departmentsConsult with executive management to develop communication procedures and policies for various situations or crisesDraft press releases and speeches following organizational newsWrite letters, interdepartmental memos and other business correspondenceCommunicate with media outlets and journalists and create press kitsDevelop materials to educate staff on communication practicesPerform communications research and monitor the progress of various communications strategiesCreating marketing presentations for stakeholderEducation and Experience Requirements
8+ years of relevant experience in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree requiredPreferred Skills and Abilities
Exceptional communication abilities, including writing, speaking and active listeningIn-depth knowledge of best writing and messaging practices for business correspondence, public relations, advertising, marketing and sales copy and social mediaAbility to effectively engage with multinational team members of all levels and across departmentsGreat project management skills, including goal-setting, multitasking, budget management and prioritizationGood data analysis, problem-solving and critical thinking skillsLeadership abilities, including training and mentorshipAbility to establish strong relationships with a variety of customers and partners in commercializing new products, including contract negotiation and go-to-market plansProficiency with a CRM systemWorking Conditions and Physical Demands
