THE ROLE

The Manager, Marketing Content and Strategy will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the successful implementation and completion of omni-channel marketing content to help drive engagement and donation revenue. The ideal candidate will lead the ideation, development and execution of an omichannel fundraising and stewardship strategy. This person will manage and lead a team of student marketers, track marketing performance and identify insights that will optimize our approach and influence client recommendations. The Manager, Marketing Content and Strategy will work under the guidance and leadership of the General Manager to support fundraising efforts across the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible for ideating, implementing, executing and managing strategic omnichannel marketing campaigns designed to increase constituent engagement, donor counts and revenue. Plan, develop, and implement simultaneous constituent cadences (or user journeys) aimed at convert audiences to donors through channels including but not limited to email, web, phone and text. Manage a team of student marketers to execute on content deliverables, including writing articles, Q&As, phone/text scripting and video scripting, as well as designing graphics, editing video and more. Analyze cadence and content performance through evaluating key measurables like engagement rates, open and click-through rates, web traffic, scroll-depth, video views, conversion rates and more. Analyze and audit the web experience to enhance the constituent journey and optimize fundraising revenue through assessing site designs, click paths, buy-flow and more. Assist in the creation, execution, and distribution of digital and traditional fundraising materials.  Lead in developing audience-centric messaging and content that resonates with specific segments while ensuring all marketing materials are on-brand, consistent in style, quality and tone, and optimized for search and user experience. Work closely alongside General Manager to leverage data insights that will influence current and future audience-centric fundraising initiatives. Support the Student Engagement Specialists through leading the implementation of cadences in the CRM platform (Vanillasoft), including ongoing segment management, template and scripting maintenance, result code updates and more. Creating and sending test content and managing the review process. Provide Student Engagement Specialists with up-to-date resources, like fund cases for support, meaningful impact stats and more. Assists General Manager with daily Engagement Center operations as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

2-3 years’ experience in digital marketing roles. Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications or a related field. Demonstrated breadth of digital marketing knowledge with a strategic view on how impact-related content can influence connection to philanthropy. Must illustrate strong interpersonal skills to gain consensus for planned content, negotiate tight deadlines and unite teams with a single vision and voice.  They must have excellent written communication skills, exceptional proofreading and editing skills, and a high level of understanding of marketing messaging. Strong digital marketing experience is required, including the use of email and web hosting platforms and tools like Google Analytics. This talented, creative, and driven marketer can easily manage multiple initiatives at once. Experience in building and integrating marketing teams and programs is a must. Strong background in creative and innovating thinking and execution, with demonstrated capability for storytelling, creative content creation, and persuasive messaging. Proficient computer skills, including MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite. Experience in marketing software like (Google Analytics, Google Adwords etc.) Excellent time and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail. Demonstrate a high level of ownership and ability to work independently with minimal direction. Fast learner with creative problem-solving skills. General understanding of higher education fundraising.

COMPENSATION

Competitive salary range $60,000 - $62,000 + bonus potential and a generous benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
