A Brief Overview:
The Manager, Patient Access & Front-End Operations is responsible for managing the system Medical Group patient registration process and ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for individuals accessing healthcare services. The manager will maintain internal policies and procedures related to medical group patient access front end operations to maximizes efficiency while maintaining compliance with industry regulations. The Manager is knowledgeable about health care regulations and compliance, possesses strong leadership and communication skills, and demonstrates expertise in electronic health record systems and insurance verification. The manager plays a critical role in optimizing patient satisfaction and operational efficiency within the organization.


What you will do:

Responsible for day-to-day management of a team of Analysts responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating tools and resources for efficient and effective Patient Access and Front-End operations. Assigns and prioritizes work for these direct reports, assesses staff knowledge and provides feedback and necessary training. Provides additional coaching and education on patient access and front-end training when warranted for direct reports and across the Medical Group.Analyzes data, evaluates, designs and implements updated workflows across MG Patient Access and Front-End Operations to meet the changing needs of our patients.Participate and project manages the design of Epic upgrades and influences the approved enhancements for area of responsibility.Develops and manages the system-wide Medical Group front end operations including the development of processes as well as implementing efficient patient registration processes and workflows to enhance patient experience, reduce wait times, and enhance point of service collections.Manages and oversees process request and in collaboration with clinic staff executes workflow changes with staff, both direct reports and indirect reports, and educates as necessary. Reviews the accuracy of IT service request instructions being submitted including the documentation of justifications and reason for updates.Manage and lead monthly PSR meetings to educate on problems identified, system related issues, new policies, procedures.Together, with the Analysts, leads the design and execution of ongoing training and development opportunities to Medical Group registration staff to enhance their knowledge and skills. Acts as a subject matter expert in pre-registration, insurance verification and revenue cycle for the Medical Group team members who perform these functions in their offices or departments.Leads and manages two Analysts responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues.Manages partnership with clinical department staff, leadership, and physicians to coordinate daily operations of scheduling, templating, and pre-registration.Ensures compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and patient privacy guidelines.Manages the accurate and timely collection of patient demographics, insurance information and point of service collections.
 

What you will need:

Bachelors Degree Health Administration Required Or Bachelors Degree Business Administration/Management Required3 Years Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in patient access services or healthcare registrationQuality Assurance: Knowledge of quality assurance measures and techniques to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance within patient registration and access services.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff and external stakeholders, and effectively convey information and instructions.Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team of registration staff, provide guidance, and foster a positive work environment.
