As the Manager, Medical Programs you will be part of a team of professionals who help every employee to return home safe every day and that maintain the operational effectiveness of Pittsburgh Paints Co. to provide customers with the best products and services.
You will report to the Sr. Manager, EHS Programs and be hybrid at our office in Cranberry Township, PA.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and support implementation of cost effective, industry best practices that reduce workers compensation costs and maintain compliance with laws and regulations.
Manage the USA workers compensation program with the insurance carrier. Assure cases are reported in a timely manner, cost effective diagnostic and treatment options are utilized, injured employees obtain appropriate medical care, restricted work programs are in-place and better-than-average program costs are achieved.
Support management of workers compensation programs outside of the USA by contracting with vendors to manage cases in Canada and liaise with local management on cases in Puerto Rico.
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) within the company for matters involving occupational health, medical surveillance, injury treatment and workers compensation. Consult with the contract physician as necessary.
Manage the medical review of candidates to perform work duties as part of the talent acquisition process.
Maintain electronic records of case management information to assure regulatory compliance and the sustainability of the function.
Qualifications
BS, Nursing or Registered Nurse; Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) preferred.
Licensed nurse in one or more states with PPC operations.
5 years’ experience in occupational nursing or workers compensation.
