Introduction

 

We are seeking a Proposal Manager to join our Mill Lining (MLB) Proposal Management team. You will be responsible for managing a proposal portfolio of all Mill Lining products, Optimized, Configured, and Capital product groups, in accordance with the Metso processes, tools, and policies, utilizing Project Management best practices. In this position, you will report to the Director, Mill Lining Quotations and Proposals.

 

This position is mainly located in Sudbury, ON (CA), Lachine, QC (CA), and York, PA (US) and we offer flexible working arrangements like, hybrid options.

You will join a team of Proposal management dedicated to enhancing operational efficiency through the execution of on-time deliver ML Proposals in the specific region, contributing to the business’s growth and customer experience.


What you’ll do

 

•    Direct oversight and develops best solutions, aligning with BL and customer expectations, satisfying product targets such us wear life, tonnage, performance and other quantify benefits of our products.
•    Ensures proposal process execution: required information to quote or to design, customer expectation and background, development and final documentation.
•    Provide and develop product design drawings and technical specifications together with Product Engineering teams.
•    Accountable for overseeing the lessons learned, pinpointing opportunities for continuous enhancement, and delivering feedback to the appropriate stakeholders.
•    Comprehend the requirements of the customer and address them efficiently.
•    Collaborate with various internal stakeholders such as Technical Sales Support, Sales, 
Engineering, ISS and Marketing.


Who you are

 

•    Suitable academic background, such as a master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering.
•    Requires at least 8+ years of experience primarily in overseeing product development or commercial projects.
•    Understanding of relevant mining and mineral processing technologies.
•    Capable of managing several projects and tasks at the same time and prioritizing them as needed.
•    Mandatory Salesforce System working experience.
•    Possesses experience with MS Project and demonstrates a willingness to learn and adapt to new project management tools.
•    Evident skills in influencing, a forward-thinking attitude, the ability to make decisions independently, and a motivation for achieving results.
•    A collaborative individual with experience in working with international and virtual teams composed of individuals from diverse locations and cultures.
