POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for ensuring internal control systems and standard operating procedures governing gaming and non-gaming areas are properly designed, implemented, and functioning across City of Dreams Sri Lanka.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Key Roles & Responsibilities

Ensures Gaming Regulations issued by the gaming regulator are adequately addressed by Standard Operating Procedures of the relevant departments. Report any deviation to the relevant department and follow up on the resolution. Designs and maintains audit procedures to ensure gaming activity is audited in accordance with regulatory requirements and in a manner necessary to ensure the safeguarding of company assets and accurate reporting of Casino revenues and expenses. Such audits will include the daily collection and review of all gaming audit documents and gaming reports for the following areas: (1) Table games; (2) Slots; (3) Cage; (4) AML and Junket compliance; (5) intercompany casino transactions; and (6) other areas as required. Supervises preparation of daily accounting entries to record gaming and non-gaming revenue and direct expenses. Reviews reconciliations of gaming and non-gaming system reports to general ledger account balances done by Auditors and Supervisors Reviews and analyzes gaming and non-gaming activity, general ledger accounts and follow up on unusual or significant fluctuations. Ensures the highest levels of service to Business Units and Departmental Management in the provision of financial reporting that satisfies their business needs. Acts as a key contact with gaming regulatory and other authorities with respect to all gaming and non-gaming audit matters. Reviews and file reports to gaming regulatory and other authorities regarding revenue, license fees, rolling and other items. Develops and ensures adherence to critical timelines for all internal and external reporting requirements.Prepare the monthly accounting reports, and all other reports assigned by the Director of Finance.Act as a key contact to liaise with BU Operations regarding issues noted by PPPI Revenue Audit and Centralized Scheduling Develops, maintains and reviews policies and procedures pertaining to Financial and Management Accounting and ensures adherence to all regulatory requirements. Ensures the development of Operational Accounting team through recruitment, training and career development. Staff management and teamwork to ensure team spirit and job satisfaction within the team. Recommends and/or execute management policies to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, discharge, re-assign, or discipline employees.Adheres and supports the Company’s Vision and Values.All other duties as assigned by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requirements & Qualifications

A minimum of 10 years of professional accounting experience in both gaming and non-gaming audit and accountingAudit or accounting experience in a casino resort environment is an advantage.Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS standardsPre-opening experience preferred.Supervisory/Management experience

Skills / Competences:

Advanced knowledge of gaming systems including slot and table game player tracking and slot accountingAdvanced knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Opera, Infrasys
