The Manager - Operations Innovation will work on high priority initiatives, critical to the success of the enterprise. Topics will likely include:Large-scale operating model changes to drive efficiencies and adapt to healthcare reformCross functional collaboration and project management on large-scale business transformation and/or business process re-engineering projectsIntroduction and incubation of disruptive technologiesOperationalization of  growth strategies across Kidney Care, International, and DaVita Strategic Business UnitsIntegrated care business model developmentBusiness unit-specific operations strategy

The Manager will lead a team of highly motivated individuals with backgrounds ranging from management consulting to project management to healthcare delivery, and is expected to effectively manage work streams with dependencies on many different business units and communicate recommendations to senior executives.      


Essential skills and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Demonstrates first-principles thinking in analyzing problems and engaging with teammatesLeverages hypotheses-based approach to identify, validate and quantify opportunitiesDraws upon continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six-Sigma) to structure and incubate improvement opportunitiesBuilds and reviews complex models and conducts financial planning and analyses to assess impact on business metricsDistills complex business problems into cohesive, impactful stories; builds appropriate horizontal and vertical logic in presentations.Presents comfortably and compellingly to senior audiencesSuccessfully manages relationships with senior business leaders and influences diverse group of stakeholders through effective communication and strong interpersonal skillsWorks closely with teammates in the clinics and develops long-standing relationships with operators and cliniciansAllocates team resources to ensure all timelines and deliverables are metCreates and manages project plans that drive accountability for complex, cross-functional initiativesEmbodies DaVita core valuesUp to 50% travel may be required at times; though typical travel is 5-10%

A typical candidate has the following minimum qualifications:

Experience leading large-scale business transformation teams from concept through implementation with tangible impact on operating/financial performance5-10 years of total work experience in progressive rolesMBA from a top-tier business school or graduate degree in a healthcare related field (MD, MPH, MHA) preferredHealthcare background preferredIT change management experience preferred

Salary/ Wage Range

$82,800.00 - $121,600.00 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
