Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager, Operations - Perioperative Services - Full Time, Days - NSG-Operating Room - Full-Time - 07.
In this role, the successful candidate The Manager, Operations - Perioperative Services is responsible for overseeing perioperative operations, ensuring efficiency, staff leadership, and compliance with hospital standards. This role provides direct leadership to Perioperative Nursing Assistants (PNAs) and other perioperative support staff, addressing workflow coordination, performance management, and resource allocation to optimize operating room (OR) functions. The manager collaborates with perioperative leadership to enhance patient care delivery and regulatory compliance.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage PNAs to ensure efficient workflow, accountability, and operational support for OR activities. Act as the primary leadership contact for PNAs, addressing concerns, facilitating communication, and ensuring staff engagement. Optimize resource allocation, ensuring perioperative efficiency and adherence to hospital standards. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve perioperative operations and staff performance. Manage patient flow, resolving logistical challenges and coordinating with Nurse Managers to align staff with patient acuity and department needs. Conduct staff performance evaluations, provide coaching, and implement development plans to enhance skills and accountability. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory agencies, and accreditation standards. Lead process improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and service quality within perioperative services. Oversee and ensure appropriate equipment management and maintenance to support safe and efficient operations. Monitor key perioperative performance indicators, such as first-case-on-time starts (>90%) and turnover times, implementing strategies for improvement. Support recruitment, training, and orientation of new PNAs to strengthen operational effectiveness. Foster teamwork and collaboration, using conflict resolution skills to enhance staff relationships and communication. Maintain a professional and collaborative work environment, encouraging open communication and team development.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in perioperative or healthcare operations, with leadership experience preferred. Strong problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills. Experience in workflow optimization and staff management.

Long Island Community Hospital provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $65,611.00 - $111,343.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
