Manager, Optics Engineering
Technical leadership: Take full responsibility of optical technical tasks in R&D projects. Be able to work independently and provide technical guidance for optical lens optimization, optical simulation, tolerance calculation, optical alignment and optical testing. Control the technical risk by technical reviewing, exchanging and coaching. Drive to work out technical solution with broad overview and deep understanding of optical technical principle and concept.Technical cooperation: Supervise optical specification breakdown from system requirements and optical performance adaptation in system level. Support and pave the way for functional communication, like optics with mechanics, electronics and software. Ensure the smooth implementation of the project plan. Support integration with the procurement, quality, and registration teams.Optical development process: Make and implement practical and efficient working guidance for optical working process. Create, update and maintain the process for better technical sustainability, accumulation and high technical standardization. Monitor the interface, the quality of output and the completeness of input for the optical work in the projectTechnology Innovation: Drive innovation in optical technologies, including light sources, detectors, lenses, mirrors, and optical coatings, to improve system sensitivity, resolution and reliability. Keep watching emerging optical technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for technology advancements.Tasks Allocation: Allocate resources and divide the work package. Promote the progress of the project in the project, focus on the key tasksPeople Management: hire and cultivate optical engineers. Keep a professional team, evaluate employees according to performance and objectives, cultivate professional skills, promote the professional division in optics and build an optical talent echelon.

At least 10 years working experience after Master degree in Optical engineering or Physics or precision measurement or other related fields.Experience in optical system design and development, with a focus on microscope and medical applications.Strong technical expertise in optical architecture and optical design in imaging systems, illumination systems, and optical metrology techniques. Proficient in optical optimization, aberration balancing, tolerancing. Be able to roll out from the first-order system to practical lens system. Experience in tolerance sensitivity analysis, after-tolerance performance calculation and tolerance compensation based on interactive impact on aberration.Experience in opto-mechanical cooperation, alignment tooling design and optical assembly methods. Be able to transfer optical tolerance to mechanical structure and verify mechanical tolerance in optical system. Grasp the usage of collimator, auto-collimator, spectrometer, MTF machine, etc.Good overview, deep comprehension and solid experience in diverse optical system and principle, like magnification system, condensing optics, wavefront aberration, Koehler illumination and interference system.Proficiency in optical design software such as Zemax or Code VDemonstrated leadership skills with experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams. Have skills in people management and experience in leading a professional team from hiring, cultivating and developing. Cooperate with other functional colleagues for smooth work implementation.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.Good English skills both in oral and written is a must.
