Job Summary:
The Outbound Transportation Manager will lead GameStop’s outbound transportation operations, driving efficient, cost-effective, and customer-focused logistics in store replenishment, ecommerce including omni channel, and reverse logistics. This role is instrumental in maintaining GameStop’s low-cost structure and ensuring timely delivery of items to stores and customers.  As a strategic leader, the OB Manager will oversee carrier relationships, help negotiate contracts and develop data-driven strategies to achieve operational excellence, financial goals, and sustainability initiatives. By collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders this role will play a pivotal role in enhancing service quality, minimizing costs, and supporting the company's omnichannel growth objectives.

This position will sit onsite 5 days per week in Grapevine, Tx

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day transportation operations, including scheduling, configuring, and measuring performance for outbound shipments.Monitor carrier performance and establish KPIs to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.Collaborate with internal teams, DC and refurbishment operation teams, merchandising, in stock, private label and store operations, to align transportation activities with business needs.Monitor, track, and communicate status updates of shipments and advise and support contingency operations as required.Support development of tools to monitor and add controls were required to minimize risk of loss, delay, or to provide a lower cost structure in transportation.Partner with Customer Service to determine trends and opportunities to ensure customers are delighted.Manage relationships with transportation providers.Participate in negotiations on pricing and contractual matters with vendors, carriers, and contractors to secure favorable terms that align with business objectives.Help develop and manage the OB and reverse logistics transportation budget, ensuring alignment with organizational financial goals.Continuously evaluate networks and work to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.Analyze freight expenditure and recommend strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.Serve as a recognized subject matter expert in parcel transportation and FTL network, making informed processes, and business decisions and recommendations, based on a comprehensive understanding of industry practices, standards, and trends.Help build out best in class reverse logistics network to support our Refurbishment Operations Center and manage costs across customer returns and store inventory balances.

Must Have Qualifications

4+ Years of transportation experience2+ years of management experienceExperience with U.S. Customs regulations, classification determination, and ability to use multiple tools for information gathering.3+ years of experience with Ocean FreightBachelor’s degree in a relative fieldAnalytical skills to assess transportation market trends, evaluate carrier performance, and make data-driven decisions.Expert level Microsoft Office and excel skills.Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.Data driven decision maker with a high level of curiosity to investigate continuous improvement possibilities.Experience managing and bidding domestic FTL/LTL freight.Experience interpreting parcel carrier contracts.
