What is the opportunity?
As a manager on the Payments Security team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s security compliance and risk mitigation efforts. You will manage the execution, enterprise alignment and standardization of assessments, governance processes and continuous improvement initiatives related to regulatory requirements and threat intelligence-led risks. Your role will be essential in evaluating and ensuring compliance with identified standards, strengthening the security posture and resilience of RBC’s payments infrastructure and providing leadership on security risks, control management and process enhancements.
What will you do?
Support the planning and execution of payments-related cyber security regulatory assessments to ensure compliance with control procedures and security requirementsDocument security assessment processes, procedures and evidence to support audits, regulatory reviews and improvement effortsExplore key opportunities to standardize, centralize and automate security assessments to increase consistency and efficiency, reduce resource demands and streamline processesCoordinate with internal functions and teams within Global Security, Payments, Tech Infrastructure and Group Risk Management to ensure cohesive collaboration and facilitate the alignment of enterprise-wide control standards and frameworksContribute to the preparation and presentation of assessment reports to relevant stakeholders on topics, such as compliance status, security risks and improvement recommendationsWhat do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Cyber Security, Computer Science, Business or a related fieldExcellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written) with demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, prioritize tasks, and write clear, actionable reportsExcellent leadership, teamwork, problem-solving and documentation skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide practical, results-driven recommendations for security compliance and risk managementCreative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environmentNice-to-have
Direct experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, etc.)Knowledge of cyber security, compliance, security control frameworks and risk management principlesAbility to deploy agile or design thinking methodologies, tools and processesRelevant certifications in security or risk management (e.g., CRISC, CISSP, CISA, etc.)What’s in it for you?
