The incumbent maintains contact with other department heads, medical staff, and nursing staff to determine needs, resolve problems, improve processes and promote effective drug therapy. Provides feedback and recognition when appropriate. **Knowledge / Skills / Abilities** + Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above. + Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates, to ensure the smooth operation of the department. + Knowledge of assigned department's area of specialization in order to analyze, plan, and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. **Qualifications** **Qualifications** **Required** + Advanced degree (PharmD or MS) or equivalent clinical practice experience. + Health System Pharmacy administrative residency or at least 1 year of practice experience. **Licenses Required** + Current licensure to dispense controlled substances in the State of Utah. + Current Pharmacist license in the State of Utah. _* Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department._ **Qualifications (Preferred)** **Preferred** + Applicable supervisory training. + Master's degree in a related area. + Served in progressive leadership roles for at least 3 years preferred. **Working Conditions and Physical Demands** _Employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation._ + This position involves light work that may exert up to 20 pounds and may consistently require light work involving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects involving patient care or medical equipment.
