The specific responsibilities include overseeing and leading the development and operations of Pharmacy clinical programs, ensuring appropriate drug utilization, staff competency training, and regulatory compliance for investigational drug services. This role also involves managing safety standards (CDPH, ISMP, FDA), meeting accreditation requirements (FACT, ASHP Residency), and providing training and education for staff and students. Additionally, the role includes leadership of clinical and investigational initiatives across disease site programs through affiliations with organizations like NCCN, HOPA, ASH, ASCO, SWOG, and COG, ensuring these initiatives align with the organization's safety, quality, and financial objectives.
As a successful candidate, you will:
Develop, obtain approval, and achieve clinical program goals; ensure appropriate use of medications; manage clinical initiatives to plan and remain compliant with regulations and requirements governing safe and effective clinical practice; provide pharmacy oversight of disease site programs.Work with COH Leadership, Nursing Leadership, physicians, pharmacists, and other department managers and key committees to promote safe and effective patient outcomes through advance clinical programs.Attract, retain, and develop a quality Clinical Pharmacy Staff/ with appropriate feedback and evaluation.Work with IDS, COH Leadership, Nursing Leadership, physicians, pharmacists, and other department managers and key committees to promote safe and effective use of investigational drugs that meet regulatory standards. Improve investigational drug processes. Promote research collaborations with Physicians, Nurses, and outside network affiliations.Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D.)3 years in hospital pharmacy with experience in leading or supervisory capacityCurrent CA Pharmacy LicenseASHP Accredited PGY-1 Residency, preferredCity of Hope is an equal opportunity employer.
