Manager, Planning Processes & Analytics
Purpose

A key player in Sourcing, driving Sourcing’s vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry. Develop analytic tools to optimize planning & allocation decisions, collect and build data structures for standardized reporting & analysis.

Act as subject matter expert for assigned sourcing allocation and planning processes; lead or participate in data, analytics, or system projects as assigned.

  Key Responsibilities Maintain thorough understanding of the factors influencing the dynamics of the supply and demand data within the various system infrastructures. Manage & execute standardized reporting, dashboards, and ad-hoc analysis. Enhance reporting and analytical capabilities through automation of data collection. Identify improvement potential through various analyses, derive solutions and facilitate related decisions. Develop and implement adequate and aligned communication packages to present results, recommendations, and solutions. Develop and implement department-related state-of-the-art analytic tools. Apply the tools to provide analytical support within the assigned area and/or cross-divisional when appropriate. Be an expert and function as a knowledge base of data, analyses, and systems within the assigned area. Coach, train, and support other team members in using the analytic tools and data to make optimal planning and allocation decisions. Lead or participate in data, analytics, or system projects as assigned. Ensure all sourcing operations and practices fully comply with adidas’ Responsible Sourcing & Purchasing Policy, adidas standards, and legal requirements, while managing the relevant processes internally and externally. Role model leadership to foster a culture of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion that strives for an inclusive workplace.   Key Relationships Global Sourcing: Allocation & Planning, Sourcing Operations, Materials, Costing Global Operations: Product Operations including Business Unit Planners and Development, Global Product Supply, Supply Chain Management (e.g., Logistics, Customs, S&P)   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Deep business understanding of Allocation and Planning processes and structure Analytical and critical thinking skills to manage large data quantities from multiple sources and translate results into business language and dashboards (e.g., PowerBI) Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Good communication and storytelling skills for persuasion and convincing others Ability to adapt in a consistently changing environment and different management levels of a global organization Ability to operate cross-functionally and understanding of external business drivers Experienced in process automation, data analysis, and machine learning tools (e.g., Alteryx, Python, SQL, UIPath) Fluent in Business English (written and spoken)

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications University degree, preferably in Business, Data Science, or Supply Chain Management Minimum 3-5 years of experience in related fields
