Manager, Plant Finance

Reporting to Manager, Plant Finance you will be an important member of the plant management team, for a small/medium plant, providing analysis to guide decision-making, and taking a leadership role in challenging the plant to improve financial performance. Provide leadership to the local plant finance team to ensure the financial accounting and reporting needs of the plant are met to help the plant management team to meet their budgeted financial goals. Ensure all plant accounting/reporting is done and following US GAAP Accounting Standards and accounting policies/ procedures. 5 years related experience.

Position Responsibilities

Provide financial advice, along with accurate operational performance reporting, to the plant management team to ensure sound financial and operational decisionsUse analysis techniques and metrics to identify and make recommendations to plant management to improve operational performance and lower unit costsProvide finance leadership for Lean Manufacturing/TPM initiatives at the plant levelInstill cost control and planning discipline to assist senior plant management in controlling manufacturing costsLead the annual business planning process for the plant, including preparation of the financial manufacturing business plan and product standard costsAssist plant management team with capital planning, including calculating and evaluating financial payback on all capital expenditure proposalsWork with divisional and corporate finance/departments on several projects including: providing cost information for innovation and cost reduction projects, identifying cost/performance improvement opportunities and leadership of divisions or companywide programsEnsure the accuracy of the plants accounting systems and records, and strict compliance to all company policies, procedures and controlsUse systems capability to enhance data access, analytics and management reportingAreas include materials cost and usage management, labor cost and use, asset use and overhead expenditure control

Position Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance requiredMinimum 5 years of professional experience in Finance/Accounting in a manufacturing environmentFundamental knowledge of, understanding of all research methods for, and driving compliance of GAAPIntermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups and other data manipulation formulas)Experience working with and making recommendations for efficiencies with systems and tools, such as SAP (R/3, FICO, BI)Identify areas for continuous improvement and cost reductions and making recommendations for enhancementAt this time, we require applicants for this role to be legally authorized in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship either now or in the future.
