The Manager, Plant Operational Excellence develops, implements, and leads change strategies to optimize business performance at the plant level. This individual will lead plant training & coordination of Continuous Improvement activities, driving enabler savings, documentation of financials and project information. Provide plant leadership with guidance and support for next steps in the area of operational excellence. Designs plant repeatable systems and drives implementation across all businesses and functions. This individual will work with plant leadership to identify, prioritize, and implement a comprehensive continuous improvement program within the plant. Apply total performance management, lean manufacturing principles, and Six Sigma tools to build organizational capability and deliver operational improvements and/or cost reduction benefits. Leads cultural change within the site around continuous improvement systems, tools, and behaviors.
What you will do…
Identify and lead loss/waste elimination activities throughout the plant; owns site zero-based loss analysis process & plant savings plan (enablers).Facilitate problem solving activities to drive root-cause, sustainable solutions to prevent recurrence; Train employees at all levels on problem solving process and build advanced problem-solving capability.Drive Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) thought process through DDS implementation and monthly functional check-ins.Partner with corporate Operational Excellence team to ensure standardization and sharing of best practices.

This position is responsible for deploying the Campbell's Operational Excellence strategy and approach to drive the Supply Chain performance to world class levels and will be part of the Plant Leadership team. The role requires an Operational Excellence practitioner who can provide direction in the development and implementation of tactical objectives to drive improvements within the plant.
This is the "subject matter expert" and will have specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in their own discipline/function and understand the interrelationships of different disciplines. The employee interprets internal or external issues and recommends solutions/best practices, new methods, procedures, etc. Problems faced are complex and must take a broad perspective to identify solutions.

Bachelor's degree in organizational development, Process Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).Practical lean experience and/or training with a minimum of 3 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment successfully leading and implementing process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma tools, and Visual factory / 5S programs.Direct experience successfully leading and implementing process improvement initiatives utilizing the following concepts and techniques:Lean manufacturing principlesix Sigma toolsCertification or equivalent training and experience as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.Visual factory / 5S programsAbility to lead large-scale, continuous improvement/organizational change initiatives.Strong facilitation skills, with experience in training development and deployment.Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment.Drive for results.Extensive use of advanced problem solving and troubleshooting to significantly impact plant improvement projects and action plans.Managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on business needs.Interface with and influence multiple functions and at multiple organization levels, both at the plant and corporate.Ability to overcome resistance to organizational change, influence both hourly and salaried employees to embrace it, and lead the change initiative.Requires high level of plant floor presence to establish extensive knowledge of processes and opportunities for improvement. The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$103,800-$149,300Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
