UPMC Corporate is hiring a Manager, Police and Security to join our New York Team in Jamestown!  The Manager will work Monday through Friday during the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. At times, the Manager can support other hours and days as needed by the facility.

This role works with and oversees members of the Security Team to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, families, visitors, and employees at the hospital facility.  The Manager is responsible for the protection of all hospital property as well as for patient property entrusted to the department. The role directs personnel involved in establishing, promoting and maintaining hospital security and property protection programs by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.  As well as maintaining performance improvement activities within the departments and assures competency of all personnel. The position will maintain efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all JCAHO, state, and federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols.

Responsibilities:

Directly supervises staff, conducts employment interviews and makes hiring recommendations. Conducts performance evaluations, provides coaching, and ensures training of staff. Assists in developing operational and staffing plans. Monitors and maintains department budget and provides input for changes. Provides analysis and reporting, and makes recommendations regarding operational changes. Interacts with department heads, supervisors, and employees. Maintains compliance with all laws. Maintains effective working relationship with local agencies. Audits and evaluates programs. Performs security assessments and makes recommendations. Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors. Performs other duties as assigned
