Manager, Procurement

This exciting Procurement Manager opportunity has a strong hospitality pre-opening focus; working with Operations team, Design Services and Owners on Uniformly Purchased Items (UPI) procurement process and UPI budget facilitation and negotiation; successful UPI procurement within budget and on time, and oversight of delivery status reporting with a focus on pre-opening projects in Americas, Europe, and Asia.  Other procurement activities relating to Four Seasons UPI scope will be assigned as capacity allows.

What You’ll be Doing:

Pre-opening Project Management

Owner discussions re UPI process and needs regarding project documentation.Model room UPI procurement oversight.Filling out of OS&E budget templates, facilitation of operational reviews of templates.Joins Owner and FS internal core team calls to provide status updates on UPI procurement and highlighting of risks.Oversight of purchase order issuing within budget and project timelines.Provide Project Budgets and Budget Variance Reports.Works with Design Services and Operations to fulfill all selection UPI procurement within budget and on time.Oversight of delivery status reporting for applicable (regional) projects.

Purchasing Management and Reporting

Identifies and investigates alternate sources of supply (regional).Develops and maintains key relationships across various functions and levels within supply partners’ organizations.Identifies new vendors best suited as suppliers and manufacturers.Maintains awareness of market trends, conditions, commodities, currencies, and tariffs, as applicable.Responsibility for preparing Request for Proposal, Request for Quotation, project budgets, status reports and all other departmental reporting.Focus on delivering tangible value in the following areas: cost savings, New Product Development, supply risk management, and ongoing process improvement.Works closely with other departments within the organization to ensure all business requirements are incorporated into sourcing strategies.

Ad Hoc Reporting

Manage cost savings tracking and assist with preparing annual cost savings analysis report.Maintain all contracts and related records and files; prepares management reports as required.

People Management

Management Procurement Coordinators. Continue to lead them and help them grow into their roles and prepare them for the next step.Cultivate relationships and partnerships within the various departments, especially with Operations team and new-opening property stakeholders to deliver broad value for the organization.

Other

Continuous process improvement to help increase the efficiency of the team and value brought to the organization.Performs other work or special projects as assigned by the Senior Director or Director S&P.Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

Undergraduate degree in business (or related field) and/or Certified Supply Chain Management Professional5-7 years’ experience in pre-opening hospitality procurementExcellent knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Word and Excel; working knowledge of PowerPoint.Experience and knowledge of Birchstreet Software an asset.Advanced knowledge of procurement techniques, supplier management, pricing methods, bid process, contract formation and ongoing management.Global exposure an asset.
