Manager, Product Analytics

We are looking for a passionate, curious and creative problem solver to be a Manager, Product Analytics at Oportun, reporting to the Staff Data Scientist. Your role will be focused on democratizing product insights and using data to drive product strategy. RESPONSIBILITIES Analyze user behavior and product usage to proactively identify opportunities for product improvements Partner with Product and Engineering Managers to define and measure product KPIs & priorities Design experiments to validate or disprove hypotheses Build dashboards to communicate and evangelize data insights Be subject matter expert on data related to the embedded product team’s scope Deliver analyses in a format that can help drive business and product roadmap decisions by both executive leadership and partnering Product Managers REQUIREMENTS: 5+ years of experience in a related role Extensive hands-on experience with SQL and data visualization Able to develop quantitative analysis, ad-hoc reports, and models to derive meaning from raw data in order to influence product decisions and direction Strong communications skills and ability to present work to executive staff Self-starter owner attitude with an enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment Firm understanding of statistical principles (eg statistical significance, statistical testing).
