POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Manager of Product Engineering to lead our Product Design Engineering team. In this role, you will oversee the design, development, and enhancement of our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering and product development background, with a proven track record in team management and successful product launches. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet customer needs and align with company goals.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Leadership & Management:

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Set clear objectives and performance metrics for team members, providing regular feedback and development opportunities.

Oversee project assignments and ensure timely delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.

Product Development:

Lead the design, development, and enhancement of innovative and complex products. Translate product requirements and specifications into scalable and efficient technical solutions.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define product requirements and specifications.

Drive the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Identify and implement opportunities for product improvement, performance optimization, and technological innovation.

Implement and uphold engineering best practices and standards throughout the development process.

Project Management:

Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.

Monitor progress, identify potential roadblocks, and take corrective actions to ensure successful project execution.

Coordinate cross-functional efforts and facilitate effective communication between teams.

Technical Expertise:

Provide technical guidance and support to the product design team, leveraging deep knowledge in relevant technologies and methodologies.

Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and provide effective solutions to complex engineering challenges.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure that products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Implement and oversee rigorous testing and validation processes to ensure product reliability and performance.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of design processes, code, and technical decisions. Prepare and present technical reports and status updates.

Stakeholder Collaboration/Communication:

Function as the primary point of contact for engineering-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.

Present technical concepts and project updates to senior management and other key stakeholders.

Works closely with Manufacturing Engineering and suppliers to ensure that designs are both producible and robust.

Performs risk analysis and presents findings to internal engineering and appropriate levels of management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field.

15+ years of combined experience in product engineering and team management, with a proven track record of leading engineering teams to deliver successful high-quality products.

Strong understanding of product development processes, engineering best practices, and project management methodologies.

Proficiency in GD&T, Stack up Analysis, FEA, DFMEA, and 3D Modeling.

Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor team members.

Hiring Range: $98,100.00 - $154,220.00

Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
