How you'll add value
The Manager, Product Development is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of Salesforce.com (SFDC) solutions at Paycor as well as developing the people on an Agile team. As the technical owner, he/she must work across business units to a gain clear understanding of functional requirements, using his/her SFDC expertise to develop solutions leveraging capabilities of SFDC platform. The Manager, Product Development must have in-depth knowledge of SFDC development best practices to ensure scalable solutions are being implemented. The Manager will collaborate with Product leaders to translate business requirements into optimal technical solutions that are both effective and timely by driving alignment across all stakeholders. The individual will partner with the Sr. Manager or Director to provide leadership, technical guidance, and remove roadblocks. The individual serves as a role model for the team and will need to demonstrate servant leadership to influence Scrum. Our people are our most important asset. Duties and Cor Responsibilities Lead, recruit, and train Software Engineers with the goal of productivity & career development Provide clear, meaningful performance evaluations Guide the team in Agile Principles, including Customer Value, Incremental Delivery, Self-Organization, Transparency, and Continuous Improvement Foster environment with high engagement, demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer service Ensure team understands how their products link to Paycor's strategy Take a Technical Lead role on SFDC development initiatives while providing mentorship and direction to less experienced team members Accountable for the reliability, availability, and scalability of applications; Partner with other teams who manage SFDC-connected technologies, ranging from middleware to back-end data stores and other 3rd party apps, such as Zuora or NetSuite Perform code reviews while mentoring team members on effective coding and reviewing Leveraging out-of-box features where possible, using judgment on when to create custom solutions with Visualforce, Apex, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, and other technologies Build custom integrations using web technologies and tools such as Informatica Ensure team understands how their product links to Paycor's strategy Be a SFDC evangelist with a demonstrated ability to influence key project stakeholders Develop, document, communicate, and enforce SFDC security best practices Ability to research and analyze 3rd party vendors to make build vs. buy recommendation Stay abreast on development tools, technologies and techniques the team is using 0-5% local, regional, or national travel to other Paycor offices Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related (foreign equiv. accepted) and 5 years of post degree progressive experience as a Software Developer or related. 5 years of direct experience in full life cycle software development. 5 years of experience in: General SFDC development, maintenance, and operations across any modules Middleware patterns such as Service-Oriented Architecture, Data Aggregation, Streaming Data, or Publisher/Subscriber Data Storage Technology, SQL Server and Snowflake preferred APEX classes, APEX triggers, Visualforce pages, SOQL, SOSL and Force.com API, Salesforce Lightning Financial Systems Experience implementing quoting functionality via CPQ or RLM Deep understanding of various SFDC products like Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Einstein Analytics, Revenue Cloud etc. is critical Zuora experience is a plus 2 years experience in: SaaS environment, Leading in an Agile environment, Database design and file management techniques.
