Manager, Product Management - Digital Solutions

About the Role

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for primary product and functional ownership over digital sites, applications and properties within a specific business channel within AIA. Must have good organizational ability, be able to multi-task within a complex environment and have good people skills. Communication requirements will extend to all levels within AIA and AIA’s partner organisations, with focus on IT and business users. Management of third-party vendors may also be required.

Product Management

•Plan out digital product roadmaps in line with overall strategy, with the aim of releasing high quality,, innovative products, features and enhancements that drive adoption and meet business goals.•Manage the entire lifecycle of your digital product to ensure that deliverables meet project timelines and requirements and to ensure that the direction for the product is in synch with overall direction for the channel. Be able to drive project management of your product.•Manage, engage and influence prioritization of demand with business stakeholders aligning to software engineering team.•Overall responsible for end-to-end system execution implementation.•Create detailed product specifications in line with business needs, UI/UX, and in consultation with IT to guide and prioritize the efforts of the development team, whether internal IT or a third-party developer.•Manage end to end testing with regards to managing users, feedback and delivery; and performing functionality testing.•Develop business cases within your product scope and timelines, ensuring efficient management of project financials through the lifecycle.•Track and measure the success of tests and digital product launches and perform post launch evaluations.

Stakeholder Management

•Manage, optimize and prioritize business demands in relation to business value generation and resource capacity with all business unit heads.•Manage, negotiate and influence relationships with senior leadership team and managers (inter and intra divisional) to deliver credible and consistent solution services.•Manage, negotiate and influence vendor business partner and GroupIT relationships to provide delivery flexibility•Communicate ongoing developments to your product to cross functional teams. Manage expectations with regards to stakeholders, business users and end users with regards to product delivery and expectations. Work with Helpdesk and the Planning team to ensure that communications are sent out to end-users and that the Helpdesk team are apprised of and ready to receive calls on your product.

Strategic Planning

•Formulate and determine the long and mid-term strategic plan of the unit aligning to IT and business strategic priorities and objectives for responsible portfolio(s)•Lead and influence the culture and governance on cost-efficient, agile and flexible delivery of IT solutions•Formulate policies, procedures, standards and best practice to drive center of excellent for IT solutions

People Development & Management

•Lead, attract and retain high quality individual contributors to build the strategic and operational capabilities and sustainable by:-Setting clear direction, goals and engaging staff to translate these into actions;-Developing the leaders and high performers through effective learning and development;-Driving right way for effective and quality processes mind set;-Manage and optimize resource planning and utilization to deliver maximum output to support business demands-Coach and mentor team to acquire the technical and soft skills to execute their jobs-Engage team performance and individual development plan in alignment to IT strategic plan
