The **Manager, Production** is responsible for meeting quality, on-time delivery, and margin targets to support the facility's revenue and gross margin goals. They collaborate with all departments to ensure the Finishing department meets quality and delivery objectives efficiently. The Manager identifies opportunities for continuous improvement (CPI) and addresses root cause issues, working closely with the PME group to implement solutions.
**What you will be doing:**
+ Manage the daily operations of the assigned department, including overseeing employee activities such as performance management, disciplinary actions, and recruitment
+ Interview, hire, develop, and retain qualified staff. Project headcount requirements for the department based on business plans, adjusting as necessary according to current business conditions
+ Monitor and direct the workload balance within the department
+ Ensure employee training requirements are current
+ Support the achievement of departmental budget, revenue, growth, and profitability goals in close collaboration with the site director and other site leaders
+ Control costs by optimizing productivity, implementing process improvements, and leveraging automation
+ Collaborate with Fulfillment Services, Sales, and/or customers on discuss customer applications and requirements
+ Assist the Fulfillment Services team with complex quoting activities using technical drawings and CAD files to assist in identifying complex part requirements
+ Provide feedback to Fulfillment Services regarding job status and accurate lead times.
+ Create and control best practices documentation for part preparation to minimize scrap and produce the highest quality end-use parts
+ Resolve part issues while maintaining positive working relationships with employees and communicating with other departments
+ Manage raw materials and finished goods inventory
+ Ensure compliance with all applicable Quality Management Systems, including ISO 0001 and AS 9100
+ Participate in company CPI and 5S/6S initiatives
**Must have for this role:**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Minimum 5 years’ combined experience in manufacturing operations (Additive Manufacturing operation preferred)
+ 3+ years of experience managing employees in a production environment
+ Proficient with SolidView, Magics and basic skills with SolidWorks
**Nice to have:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering or a related field
+ Previous experience in a leadership role as part of a larger team of 10 or more
+ Experience with Magics software
+ Knowledge of CAD software applications and/or additive manufacturing industry
