Title:       Manager, Production Value Stream

JOB SUMMARY:

The Manager, Production Value Stream is responsible for managing the resources required to manufacture all products in a Lean environment in support of corporate sales plan.

Here’s what you’ll do:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manage and coordinate the manufacturing and testing of all products in support of the production plan.Responsible for budgeting, cost maintenance, capital equipment and personnel for Manufacturing.In conjunction with QA, establish and maintain GMP/ISO controls for quality and reliability of products.Develop and implement facilities requirements for Manufacturing.Develop, implement and maintain cost reduction, quality and process improvement programs.Responsible for controlling in process inventory.Develop and maintain a highly motivated work force to ensure that company objectives are achieved in the most efficient manner possible.  Specific duties include all aspects of hiring, training, motivation, performance evaluations, development, promotions, disciplinary action (to include terminations) and oversight of all other personnel issues.Oversee and coordinate the prevention, detection, investigation and resolution of production problems to ensure schedule adherence and quality targets are met.  Work directly with related departments including Materials, Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, Documentation, and Research and Development.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports directly to Director of Manufacturing.  Provides direct supervision to Manufacturing Team Lead and Manufacturing Associates.  Regularly acts as team or project leader for cross-functional groups.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

Manufactured product has a high annualized sales volume and high percentage of company revenue dollars.  Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals will result in additional costs and personnel, and serious delays in overall schedules.  These results may have significant short- term impact to the company. 

Do you qualify?

BS degree in Business or degree in another applicable curriculum, preferredMinimum of 10 years of increasingly responsible manufacturing or materials experience, including supervisory.Inventory Control, EDP systems to include MRP, JIT experience.Must have good analytical skills and excellent verbal and written skills.Excellent personnel and motivational skills.
