The SHORAD Finance team (Short Range Air Defense) within the LADS (Land and Air Defense) Mission Area has an immediate need for a Finance Lead to provide support and leadership to our CLEAVAR Program. CLEAVAR is a LIDS (Low, slow, small, unmanned aircraft Integrated Defeat System) contract providing MFRFS radars and Coyote effectors to the U.S. Army. In addition to being the finance lead for the CLEAVAR program, the selected individual will also provide support, mentorship and training to our newer employees and help support the baselining of our future LIDS contracts. The selected individual will lead the management of cost control, schedule and EVMS compliance and execution for the program. As the finance lead, you will be a key member of the Program Leadership Team. The selected individual will be responsible for all aspects of Business Finance execution activities including review and development of financial forecasts, Earned Value reporting, CDRL development and deliveries and quarterly EACs.

You must be an excellent communicator with a strong desire to learn while being aggressively challenged. Competitive applicants must have the ability to think on their feet, make decisions in a fast paced environment, manage competing priorities and interact with a various levels of management, including Program Managers, Business Manager, and various Program Management office representatives to ensure alignment regarding strategy, operating, and financial objectives. The selected candidate must be able to work under deadlines and constraints as well as have the ability to multitask. This role will provide an opportunity to be involved in financial planning, earned value management, estimates at complete (EACs) and variance analysis and apply them to capture critical foreign and domestic competitive pursuits.

This position is being offered in an onsite capacity and is based on the needs of the business. The preferred candidate will work onsite at the Andover, MA, Tucson, AZ or McKinney, TX location. Relocation assistance is not being provided.

What You Will Do

Management of earned value contracts, analysis of program performance, and assisting with initial baseline for new awards in compliance with the program instruction, internal EVM policy and 10255

Quarterly Development of Estimate at Completion (EACs)

Review and Development of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs)

Interfacing with Control Account Managers, Program Management, the Integrated Product Leadership Team, and ensuring compliance with financial policies.

Support weekly forecast reviews of Bookings, Sales, Earnings and Cash forecast and monthly pre-close and month end close activities

Support contract level inputs and updates to Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Plan (LRP) sales objectives

Develop, utilize and disseminate process improvement and tool improvement opportunities to enhance analytical opportunities for the entire finance team

Ad-hoc request support in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Math, Finance, Accounting or related field

Typically requires 8 years of experience in financial analysis/related finance experience; OR an Advanced degree and 5 years of experience in financial analysis/related finance experience

Experience with data analysis and/or reporting

Experience with EVMS (Earned Value Management) & Experience with Estimates at Complete (EACs)

Experienced user of SAP EVMS software, SAP Business Warehouse or equivalent systems

Qualifications We Prefer

Achieve EVMS Certification within 2 months of hiring

Experience with Microsoft tool suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment

Continuous improvement mindset and high attention to detail and accuracy

Works under general direction and participates in determining objectives of assignment

Ability to identify issues and implement corrective action plans that produce positive results

Experience interfacing with senior level management and customers, including formal presentations

Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines

Proactive and demonstrated ability to creatively problem solve

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
