Job Description:
The Telemetry and RF Division, within Space Systems is seeking a Finance Leader for the Space and Intel PL portfolio of programs in San Diego, CA. This individual will work on significantly diverse assignments, assist with standardization of processes, and foster a collaborative team setting. As Lead, this individual is responsible for the financial operations of the business area, to include supporting and driving action to achieve financial commitments and mitigate risks, guiding and escalating (as appropriate) business decisions from program bid through execution, and the development of their direct reports. The candidate will be responsible for the execution of program finance processes and deliverables; inclusive of: budgeting, internal financial metrics reporting O/S/P/I, and partner with program management to analyze and assist in understanding their financial position.
Essential Functions:
Support T&RF Finance Director in executing on portfolio strategies.Manages a team of PFA’s, including experienced and early career professionals.Analyze and re-balance PFA workloads as necessary.Provide guidance, training, and mentorship of direct reports, helping to position the team for professional growth.Communicates and trains within and outside of the finance organization to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts.Manages the implementation of functional strategies and recommends operational plans that directly impact the short- to mid-term function or business area results.Provide inputs for the monthly, quarterly and annual sales and cash forecasting process, supporting closure calls.Perform variance analysis to forecasted results (EAC, Sales, Profit and Cash), identifying specific drivers of deviations from estimates. Communicate business and financial data in a clear, concise, and timely manner to ensure no financial surprises.Responsible for advising program management and cross-functional teammates on adherence to Finance policies, procedures, and adoption of best practices.Ultimate ownership of the team’s execution of program finance goals and deliverables.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
5 or more years of experience of working in a Gov't contracting environment
Preferred Additional Skills:

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $105,000- $175,000 in California. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
