The Manager, Provider Compensation is responsible for all aspects (communications, reporting, education to participants, etc.) of Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) Medical Group’s provider compensation programs. The Manager will interact directly with providers and administrative leaders on a regular basis and be the primary point of contact for Medical Group providers on compensation issues. The Manager will advance best practices and have a keen understanding of market trends, both locally and nationally.
**Job Description:**
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities** including but not limited to:
1) Manage all aspects of provider compensation, including but not limited to: budgeting, forecasting, communication of plan changes, benchmarking, and support for Senior Leadership on related issues.
2) Lead the effort to provide market and internal compensation comparison data to medical and administrative leaders; partner closely with provider recruiting team.
3) Support Senior Leadership in Primary and Specialty Care with additional data / analysis, as needed.
4) Manage provider productivity analytics and benchmarking.
5) Develop and manage process to track FTE changes.
6) Produce monthly productivity report for management.
7) Ensure alignment between BILH MG’s provider compensation plan and strategic goals.
8) Support regular base salary review and adjustment process.
9) Primary contact for Senior Leaders and Service Line leaders on compensation program.
10) Staff and manage agenda for Management Provider Compensation Committee.
11) Develop staff and manage team through all provider compensation analytics.
12) Manage payments of leadership allocations and other variable compensation.
13) Develop guidelines and formulas for offsite provider payments or FMV related to provision of provider services to other entities.
14) Be a resource to Human Resources colleagues as it relates to their management of advanced practitioner compensation plans.

**Minimum** **Qualifications:**
**Education:** Bachelor’s degree
**Licensure, Certification & Registration:** N/A
**Experience:** 5+ years’ leadership experience in a hospital, health system or physician practice with exposure to provider compensation plans. Physician practice operations background.
**Skills, Knowledge &** **Abilities:** Good computer and excellent communication skills are a must. A general understanding of healthcare reimbursement and physician compensation are important as well. Well developed business and financial skills/acumen along with strong analytical orientation.
