POSITION SUMMARY:

Manager, PR Events is expected to take a proactive and strategic role in creating various formats of events to support the communications team to build a positive image of the Company and generating exposure among the target audiences while ensuring the quality is aligned with the Company’s positioning.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support Line Manager to plan and execute PR related events from start to finish, including but not limited to activations, press conferences, media gatherings and more based on the company’s strategy and brand positioning.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the company’s objectives and needs are fulfilled.Brainstorm and propose innovative ideas to make events unique and memorable.Identify event partners for potential collaboration to maximize the benefits for both parties.Manage event budgets and ensure events are delivered within budget constraints.Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers via Supply Chain and ensure all internal processes are followed.Effectively manage the event agencies ensuring they are appropriately briefed on all activity and approval processes are adhered to.Oversee rundown development, event setup, execution, and teardown to ensure the quality meets the company’s standards.Manage all event logistics and scheduling, including load-in, rehearsal, event execution and strike, etc. with internal departments.Ensure compliance with Company’s safety and technical regulations and requirements.Handle any issues or problems that arise during events to ensure smooth operations.Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate the risks.Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and identify areas for improvement.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

Possess a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in event planning and management.Strong network in the event industry. Having sound track records of “best practices” in event management is an advantage.Experience in communications is an advantage.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Tourism or a related field.
