Salary Range: $88,990-$127,923/year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.

Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Regional Clinical Operations, the Manager, Regional Center Services is responsible for the effective and efficient management and coordination of center-wide services including facilities related issues, implementation of operational initiatives, infection control processes, volunteer services, occupational health and emergency preparedness plans. The Manager, Regional Center Services provides leadership and promotes the philosophy and goals of the organization by applying and evaluating standards, policies, practices, and procedures to the assigned areas. Interact and collaborates with clinical and administrative staff on various initiatives.
Duties/Accountabilities:
• Provides center leadership through the consultation and coordination of various administrative and operational activities; works closely with clinical staff in order to identify improvements.
• Develops and implements departmental and organizational goals and objectives, policies and procedures. Develops action plans and coordinates center level systems and strategies to enable effective operations.
• Leads center wide initiatives and projects that cross various programs/services through to implementation; develops project plans and incorporates change management approaches; develops communication strategies; monitors projects; provides progress reports and takes corrective action to ensure project objectives are met.
• Collaborates with stakeholders, where applicable in order to maintain support services functions. Coordinates renovations, facility improvements and space planning.
• Provides operational center leadership for Emergency Management and Preparedness on issues, policies and education across the center. Prepares agenda and co-chairs center emergency management committee. Collaborates, works and partners with, PHSA Emergency Management Leads as appropriate.
• Liaises with support service providers and regional health authorities as appropriate to ensure operational issues are addressed. Fosters partnerships and assists with systems that ensure seamless patient access and flow.
• Hires, supervises and evaluates the performance of staff. Recruits, interviews and selects volunteers for assignments ensuring placement reflects the ethno-cultural demographics of the populations served. Trains and evaluates volunteers and their programs in the organization and investigates concerns arising from a volunteer’s performance, attempts to resolve conflicts and where necessary, initiates termination.
• Provides leadership to staff through collaborative coaching, guidance and modeling key behaviour, identifying staffing needs, professional development, managing performance, and providing supervision and direction to effectively and efficiently deliver services to meet team goals and objectives.
• Collaborates with relevant PHSA Corporate departments to prepare regular operational reports on financial, performance and human resources related matters.
Qualifications:
A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in a Healthcare related field and five (5) years of recent related experience, including two (2) years in a managerial/leadership capacity.
Proven leadership ability, with communication and interpersonal skills conducive to interacting in a multidisciplinary environment and ability to relate easily to a variety of people from diverse backgrounds. Self-directed and highly motivated. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and to promote teamwork. Critical thinking skills and proven ability to effectively manage human and fiscal resources. Demonstrated understanding and experience of operational planning and program development. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects. Demonstrated computer literacy with word processing, spreadsheet and/or database programs and ability to utilize a computerized patient care information system.
