Manager, Regional FAST
Overall Job Summary

This position is responsible for the supervision and management of 12-14 Field Activity Support Teams (FAST) and partnership with the Regional Vice President, Store Support Center, and vendors to achieve overall merchandising goals for the region.  This position will drive continuous improvement and project completion by providing direction to the District FAST Supervisors and their Field Activity Support Teams to achieve company objectives in store merchandising, the physical inventory process, and expense management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

As a Regional FAST Manager, it is essential that you be available, flexible, adaptable and service-oriented, as you must be able to fulfill all of the following requirements:

Supervise and manage a field organization of 12-14 Field Activity Support Teams, comprised of 12-14 District FAST Supervisors and 84-98 FAST Team Members.   Provide for the development of subordinates, specifically the identification and development of District FAST Supervisors through goals, the performance review process, succession planning, coaching, training and mentoring. Provide coaching to the District FAST Supervisors to optimize team schedules and manage workload, and support when addressing hiring needs, succession planning, and turnover. Establish and communicate performance-related metrics to the Field Activity Support Teams and challenge them to deliver upon those metrics. Ensure effective expense control, labor spend, and Profit/Loss management. Ensure the execution of merchandising standards/processes, compliance to physical inventory standards/processes, and signage.  Support continuous improvement activities throughout the organization as well as observe and coach customer engagement. Communicate process changes to the Field Activity Support Teams. Make decisions regarding Field Activity Support Teams and the handling of complaints and issues. Communicate with third party vendors to develop solutions for business related issues and opportunities. Support the Regional Vice President in achieving overall merchandising goals for the Region. Uphold and promote a safe and productive work environment by following and enforcing policies and procedures.  Communicate regularly and proactively with the FAST Director and multiple SSC partners to stay apprised of the latest direction and business trends, develop plans and solutions to address, and report on the effectiveness or progress of those plans.   Regional FAST Manager may also be required to perform other duties as assigned. 
  Required Qualifications

Experience:  Minimum of 7 years of retail and/or merchandising experience, with at least 5 years of retail leadership experience required.  Multi-unit retail store management experience is preferred.  Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Education:  High school diploma or the equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred.

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities Farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred. Profit/Loss, scheduling, shrink control, and payroll management, staffing, hiring, supervision and counseling experience. Ability and proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office products. Work varied hours, days, night and weekends as business dictates. Working Conditions Working environment is favorable, generally working inside with moderate noise. Indoor floors and outdoor lots generally are hard surfaces (concrete, asphalt, etc.) lighting and temperature are adequate.
