Manager, Regional Global Trade Compliance

A Day in Your Life at MKS:
Reporting to a Sr. Director, Global Trade Compliance within the MKS Legal organization, and collaborating extensively with all regional businesses, this person will be a strategic and hands-on leader within the company’s Global Trade Compliance team, responsible for facilitating the company’s trade activities and enhancing and optimizing the overall trade compliance program within the Asia Pacific (APAC) geographic region.

You Will Make an Impact By:

Subject matter expert in regional regulatory interpretation and the development and implementation of mitigation strategies through projects and key initiatives;

Serve as the Regional Trade Compliance Council lead and Regional Site Export Coordinator, and foster global compliance coordination;

Develop and implement trade compliance training and communication content and delivery systems;

Provide real-time business assistance in key compliance areas such as product classification, licensing, party management, and audits and investigations;

Assist in the development, implementation, enhancement and maintenance of efficient internal trade compliance programs in coordination with other members of the corporate trade team.

Facilitate business-level process and procedure development and implementation;

Liaise with governmental agencies in region and produce internal reports and governmental filings, respond to government inquiries, investigations, and audits, and implement corrective actions; and

Utilize in-depth knowledge of export and Customs regulations and apply LEAN principles across varied product lines.

Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 20% of the time


Skills You Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in international business, law, or a related field;

4+ years of relevant experience;

Extensive knowledge of international trade laws and regulations, particularly within key regional markets for APAC -- China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam

Experience with developing and managing trade compliance programs / Experience working with government enforcement authorities;
