Manager, Renewable Training - Delivery

Job Description

Position Overview:

The Manager, Renewable Training - Delivery is responsible for the delivery and implementation of all training activities related to operations, maintenance and troubleshooting across Invenergy’s fleet of Wind, Solar and/or Battery Storage. This individual will lead a team of Training Specialists and work in partnership with Safety, Operations and Operations Engineering to develop and deliver training programs that help drive improved performance and achieve results. The position reports to the Director, Renewable Training Program.

Responsibilities:

Supervise a team of Training Specialists responsible for classroom, virtual, online, and hands-on education for Invenergy’s Renewable Training Program.Establish individual performance metrics, conduct annual and mid-year appraisals, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback for Training Specialists.Monitor and ensure maintenance of Training Specialist qualifications, certifications, and continuing education.Coordinate training delivery including scheduling of training, resource allocation, subject matter expert support of training development, and training implementation.Support development of skills-based training modules for technician qualifications to help ensure the highest quality standards for safety, electrical awareness, and technical knowledge and expertise.Collaborate with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) group to ensure alignment between training program content and EHS regulations and policy.Conduct periodic evaluations of training content to help ensure technical relevance and effectiveness at the course level and program-level.Support administrative processes and content curation and/or development for in-house training programs such as New-Hire Training, Tech Progression and Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW).Support analysis of business needs in response to changing technology and provide recommendations on training and non-training solutions.Identify potential data sources and build dashboard reports for Renewable Training team and leadership to monitor status and results of training initiatives.Assign special projects to Training Specialists as needed. Monitor progress, review and provide feedback on deliverables, and coordinate final approvals.Responsible for adherence to training budgets and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency. Keeps leadership informed of activities and expenditures.Provide ~75% support for training center operations and ~25% support for training delivery as a primary or secondary Instructor.

Minimum Qualifications:  

Associate’s degree or equivalent experience  Minimum of five (5) years of operations or training experience in power generation, energy, or other closely related industry or field of work. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience  Minimum one (1) year of people management experience.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Demonstrated leadership, communication, and coaching skills.  Demonstrated success in managing education (K-12, College/University or Adult/Continuing/Professional) or corporate training programs. Knowledge of Systematic Approach to Training (SAT), adult learning principles and/or kinesthetic learning

Base Pay

$110,000.00 - $135,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 10% - 40%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
