The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Manager, Research Data to work in the UHealth Campus.
Core Job Summary:
The Manager, Research Data leads all research data collection and management activities and functions as programmer and data analyst for research studies. Further, the Manager, Research Data strives to achieve research study objectives and ensures compliance with department, University, and federal policies and procedures.
Core Responsibilities:
Merges, creates, and recodes variables to prepare data for analysis.Develops data cleaning programs for new forms and runs data cleaning programs for existing forms.Formulates and implements data quality assurance procedures to ensure validity and reliability of study results.Creates analysis datasets for use by other investigators.Advances analytical code for use in a highly collaborative environment.Writes detailed documentation and specifications for analysis data sets and related files.Performs analyses on large, complex datasets, and documents analyses using statistical software packages.Generates tables and figures in publication-quality form, summarizing the results of statistical analyses, and presents results orally to study investigators.Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.
CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field required
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of business and management principles.Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan.Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
