Job Purpose:
Own and deliver research and market insights to every division within Warner Bros. Discovery, aiding them in accomplishing their objectives through comprehensive audience, consumer, and market analysis. Highly skilled in bringing together multiple sources data insights to formulate a cohesive narrative. Demonstrate holistic understanding of audiences, customers, competitors, category across our region and driver actionable outcomes.
Serve as the advocate for the consumer across product development, marketing, affiliates, sales, and all other departments, facilitating data-informed decision-making processes.
Job Responsibilities:
(1) This position will support all portfolios of WBD in APAC by delivering insights gleaned from primary studies involving relevant audience segments and third-party data. Key responsibilities include:
• Formulating actionable recommendations based on customer data
• Integrating consumer perspectives into decision-making processes through market analysis and research activities.
• Identifying optimal methodologies and overseeing the data collection process and analytical work plan to ensure comprehensive information generation to meet business needs.
• Utilizing research data to proactively identify business opportunities and garnering internal support for action.
• Communicating analysis and recommendations through presentations and written reports.
(2) Proficiency with secondary data sources is essential, involving:
• Generating regular performance reports across all WBD genres of operation & employing secondary data to address business inquiries.
• Utilizing third-party research data to derive insights for WBD assets, monitoring competition, and extracting actionable insights.
• Monitoring industry reports to track evolving media landscapes & synthesizing data from multiple sources to construct compelling cases for stakeholders.
• Monitor and analyze social media performance using platforms like Quid/Brandwatch, to understand audiences. Encompasses all social listening and audience intelligence, observing online content and uncovering trends and insights.
(3) Adept at primary research methodologies
• Conducting market and brand research for APAC markets – familiar with cultural nuances.
• Demonstrating proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research designs, including brand tracking and conjoint studies.
• Developing and overseeing new research projects from design and analysis to presenting and communicating findings, leveraging quantitative and qualitative resources effectively.
• Managing external agencies for research project execution.
Job Requirements:
(1) Education: University Graduate (Engineering / Management / Media background preferred). Ideally MBA, preferably in research / media-related disciplines, such as statistics, market research, media studies, communication.
(2) Experience: 8-12years Media research experience including OTT
(3) Knowledge: Expert user of available media research software & databases.
Adept at quant and qual primary & secondary research on brands, consumption habits, social media behaviour. Knowledge of Internet / Digital research Databases / Social Listening techniques
(4) Language: Proficiency in English. Any Asian language – Bahasa, Malay, Thai, Chinese, Taiwanese
(5) Regional/Country Experience: Familiar with local, cultural nuances & corresponding behaviour patterns of South-East Asian consumers
(6) Other Requirements of person: Stakeholder management – build and manage stakeholders relationships locally, regionally, globally with cross functional teams. Ability to work in a complex, ambiguous environment, bring structure to the madness.

• Demonstrated expertise in research and analysis, including the ability to synthesize data and draw informed conclusions.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the capacity to self-direct and prioritize amidst competing goals, while working independently or collaboratively.
• Strong written communication skills, capable of conveying accurate and persuasive messages to a broad audience.
• Comfort with group presentations, facilitating collaborative work, engaging across diverse perspectives, and building relationships with varied stakeholders.
• Strong work ethic, takes pride in tasks, and ability to foster effective working relationships in a matrixed organisation.
• Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills.
