The salary range for this role, based in Kentucky is $66,120.00 to $82,650.00. The range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.
Job Description
The role of Retail Manager for Kentucky Brand Homes is responsible for the strategic retail direction and implementation at our Rabbit Hole Brand Home. This role requires both a creative and strategic individual that will utilize their eye for design and energetic attitude to plan and implement a merchandise design and operational vision for the Retail Space at Rabbit Hole Distillery. In collaboration with Brand Home Director, the Retail Manager will be responsible for scouting and purchasing merchandise for the retail space(s) that fits the Rabbit Hole brand aesthetic. The retail manager is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with vendors, both internal and external from local to global. The retail manager is expected to communicate this vision to their leaders and executional retail team. The retail manager directs and delegates the flow of product from procurement to sales floor. This role will lead and support an operational team in day-to-day activities associated with the retail and visitor experience.
This role requires consistent analysis of products & systems, a drive for continuous improvement, and leadership by example. The position reports to the Brand Home Director and works in collaboration with Brand Home Leadership team.
Roles & Responsibilities
Actively recruit, hire, and develop a hospitality team focused on executing and engaging consumers with the Rabbit Hole brand. Interviewing, screening, and hiring the best candidates.Build trust and rapport with, and within, the team. Empower individuals and promote team experiences to fuel a passion for the brand that transfers to a powerful customer experienceCreate, demonstrate, and enforce policies and procedures for brand retail teams and staff, including but not limited to standards of customer engagement and industry best practicesResponsible for the management and inventory of alcohol for brand home retail teams. Ensure all alcohol sales are in accordance with local, state, and federal ABC laws are followedProvides necessary training and support to on-site retail team.Ability to work flexible schedule with night and weekend work as part of regular scheduleCollaborate with the Brand Home Director to develop retail strategy consistent with brand purposePlan and execute special events as part of the Brand Home leadership, including bottle releases and Distillery branded events.Research vendors and create and maintain lasting relationshipsObtain merchandise in a timely and cost-effective manner while considering budget and seasonProcure, order, and receive inventoryPlan and implement a strategic seasonal plan for merchandising and visual standards of retail spaceDelegate visual tasks to retail teamResponsible for the oversight of e-commerce platform and vendor relationshipOversee sales made on E-commerce site and maintain item creation of merchandise for the back end of e-commerce softwareFacilitate photography of product to use on websiteManage retail team as part of the overall Brand Home experiencePartner with Brand Home Director to establish all critical metrics and expectations within the store (e.g., sales, visual standards, operations, safety, loss prevention, HR, payroll/scheduling, training)Coach and develop retail team – manage professional growthSkills & Requirements
