**Role:**
The Revenue Accounting team holds key responsibilities for worldwide revenue, including technical revenue accounting and contract reviews, and has ownership of various customer rebate programs. The Revenue Accounting Manager role is an obvious position within the Revenue Accounting team. Reporting to the Director of Revenue Accounting, this role is expected to apply technical accounting expertise to support revenue processes, including collaborating with business functions to provide valuable information for critical decision-making.
This role will support the monthly accounting cycle close process, including reviewing revenue transactions for appropriate revenue recognition treatment, supporting external and internal audit, and leading various projects, process improvements, and system transformation initiatives. You will be a go-to person for technical revenue accounting matters, ensuring revenue recognition in compliance with US GAAP, fostering strong relationships and advising business partners across the organization, and helping to grow and develop the global revenue accounting function at Micron.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Responsible for timely and accurate monthly close processes and day-to-day operations for global direct revenue in accordance with US GAAP.
+ Supervise functional revenue accounting activities, including review of journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting for returns and warranties, rebates, price adjustments, royalty and license revenue recognition, customer legal claims, customer prepayments, deferred revenue, and other contract liabilities.
+ Review revenue-related legal agreements for ASC 606 compliance.
+ Conduct accounting research and prepare or review technical accounting memos for sophisticated revenue transactions. Bring a point of view, rooted in technical accounting literature.
+ Lead the preparation of 10-Q/10-K SEC disclosures for revenue, including review of the disclosure checklist.
+ Develop and present global revenue recognition training to partners within the Finance organization and cross functional business partners.
+ Assist with ERP implementations and enhancements as it relates to revenue accounting.
+ Ensure SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements, maintaining updated documentation for revenue controls, and providing recommendations, as appropriate.
+ Coordinate with internal and external auditors on documentation needed for audits and reviews.
+ Lead and drive process improvement, automation, standardization, and other assigned projects/tasks.
+ Proactively engage with business partners to resolve challenges and recommend solutions, implement improvements where necessary.
+ Coach and mentor team members, driving performance by setting goals and development plans and fostering an environment to achieve those goals, through ongoing feedback and performance reviews.
+ Establish plans and objectives for the functional revenue team and at the organization level for the global revenue team, including coordination with the global finance shared service center.
+ Lead and manage other ad hoc special projects and analyses, as vital.
**Key Skills and Competencies:**

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to succinctly explain technical revenue accounting matters to non-finance personnel.

**Education and Experience:**
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance.
+ Active CPA or equivalent qualification.
+ 8+ years of experience in accounting and/or auditing.
+ 2+ years leadership experience.
+ Experience working with SAP, SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite, Model N.
+ Experience in a global, multi-national, public company.
+ Semiconductor industry background preferred.
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$98,000.00 - $264,500.00
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
