Manager, RF R&D

The RF (Radio Frequency) R&D Department is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Group Manager to lead our team in Santa Rosa, California! This pivotal role involves managing a diverse team of RF Design Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Technicians! The Senior Group Manager will lead all aspects of both people and project management for the design and development of ground breaking RF test and measurement instrumentation.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Drive the design, development, and validation of new hardware, ensuring all business deliverables are met. Provide support for customer critical issues. Promote continuous skill development and evaluate team performance. Lead project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.

For This Role, You Will Need:

BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 8+ years of industry experience, with a strong background in RF concepts and theory. Proven experience in team management, talent recruitment, and development. Hands-on experience with test and measurement equipment such as VSGs, VSAs, VNAs, Spectrum Analyzers, and Oscilloscopes.  Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement. Willingness to travel up to 5% of the year. Must be a US person not requiring visa sponsorship. Located in or willing to relocate to Santa Rosa, California.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and meet tight deadlines. Familiarity with test & measurement industry Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges. Experience in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $154,000 - $200,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
