Manager, Risk Management (Hybrid)

The Manager of Risk Management will oversee all aspects of various property and casualty insurance programs, including analyzing exposure data and loss information, preparing presentations for insurance markets and summarize renewal results. 


Assess the impact of insurance renewal options and present recommendations with justifications, to leadership and Director of Risk ManagementCheck insurance documentation for completeness accuracy and recommend changes Serve as a subject matter authority to assist other internal groups with any insurance related issues and implement action plansWork with insurance brokers in accomplishing risk management objectivesManage funding of claims escrow accounts and verify loss report accuracy Oversee monthly reconciliation reports to verify loss payments to general ledger Enable funding and obtain appropriate authorizations on all insurance invoices and wires Orchestrate monthly risk management cash forecastManage annual workers compensation and automobile liability retrospective adjustment calculations and annual audit     Facilitate certificate of insurance production with brokers and insurance companies to ensure compliance with insurance policies and contracts. Implement AI solutionsOversee department electronic maintenance of documents to improve accessibility of policy information and process optimizationLead due diligence for target acquisitions Manage integration and assimilate of acquisition company’s insurance into our coverages and determine run-off issues Provide ongoing support and guidance to acquisition company employeesServe as a key contact within Risk Management for leases, vendor, and supplier contract reviews to ensure adequate protection for the companyAssess risk and negotiate changes in contracts to transfer liability where possible through discussion with contracts group, business unit, legal department and clientsDesign, develop and implement methods and strategies to continually improve processes, including processes that extend outside of Risk Management

Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance or business

Preferred Work Experience: 

5-7 years relevant risk management or insurance experience

Knowledge:

Demonstrated knowledge of core insurance principlesHealthcare risk management a plusStrong financial, organizational, and analytical skillsInnovative thinker comfortable with ambiguity to complete tasksAbility to work effectively cross-functionally and build/maintain relationships

Skills:

Excellent verbal, and written communication skills Solid presentation skillsStrong PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
