The base salary for this position is $100,00.00 to $110,000.00. Your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic locations, skills, education and/or experience. Please keep in mind that that the range published is the full base salary. We also offer a generous benefits package.
Allweather Wood is the largest producer and distributor of waterborne preservative treated wood products in the Western USA. Operating six wood preserving plants in California, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, and Washington, these state-of-the-art facilities enable year-round production of a variety of preservative systems, fire retardants and wood species, including Douglas-fir, Hem fir, and Southern Yellow Pine. With support from two full-service distribution centers in California, Allweather Wood partners with home improvement retailers, lumberyards, and building material dealers to bring a full range of preservative and fire-retardant lumber and plywood products to market.
The primary focus for the Sales Manager is to lead the regional sales team to effectively and profitably maintain and grow Allweather Wood and Humboldt Redwood’s market share for treated and redwood products. This key leadership position will be accountable for setting product pricing; determining goals and metrics; helping to manage aged inventory; motivating the inside and outside sales teams; assisting in the resolution of customer issues, including accounts receivable; and coaching and developing the sales team to maximize sales effectiveness. Assists in the analysis and development of customer programs and contracts and ensures all contracts are implemented and adhered to by both AWW/HRC and the customer.

Full time daily management of the regional sales team, to include pricing direction; sales volume and margin tracking and related input and feedback; issue resolution; development and implementation of customer programs; communication with purchasing to manage inventory levels and turns.Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities with a goal of building and maintaining a world-class sales team.Foster a “best practices” environment with peers from other locations for improved sales procedures.Openly and consistently communicate with purchasing and operations on customer, product and market issues and improvement iniatives.Communicate regularly with sales teams regarding market conditions and trends, pricing and order fulfillment opportunitiesMaintain knowledge of new product offerings in wood fiber market and work with sales to research potential new product strategies.Manage multiple priorities, work with a sense of urgency, and demonstrate problem solving skills when needed.Provide leadership and direction to the sales function of the organization.Provide market information to the sales team, purchasing team and our customers to streamline and continuously improve customer service and satisfaction.Lead by example in establishing and enhancing relationships with customers so that we are their preferred vendor for not only treated and redwood products, but also as the go to vendor for new opportunities in distribution.On a regular basis, visit traditional customers for the AWW Distribution chain ensuring that inventory levels and product quality are acceptable, and that customers are pleased with the service they are receiving from the company.Ensure effective monitoring of consigned inventories. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, from a four-year College or university.Minimum of seven years sales experience preferably in a multi-location manufacturing or distribution operation within the building materials industry.Must maintain and carry a valid state driver license and remain eligible and capable of operating company vehicles including automobiles and trucks in accordance with company policy guidelines.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and/or employees of the organization and communicate effectively by telephone, in person and in writingPosition has travel requirements of a regional nature up to 20%-30% of the timeProven success at building strong and/or long-term relationships with vendors, customers and co-workers.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and OutlookPHYSICAL DEMANDS
