Manager, Sales Operations

Job Summary:

The Sales Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in driving efficiency, process improvement, and overall success within the sales organization. This position is responsible for overseeing sales processes, data analysis, forecasting, CRM management, and supporting the sales team to ensure they meet their targets. This individual will work closely with sales leadership, marketing, finance, and other key stakeholders to optimize sales performance, streamline operations, and provide insights that contribute to data-driven decision-making.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

CRM and Technology Management Maintain and optimize the CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) to ensure accurate data and efficient use by the sales team. Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to implement sales tools and technologies that enhance productivity. Train the sales team on CRM and other technology tools, ensuring they are used effectively. Sales Strategy and Planning Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and execute the sales strategy. Support annual sales planning, quota setting, and territory management processes. Ensure alignment between sales, marketing, and finance to support strategic initiatives. Performance Management Support the development and management of incentive programs to drive sales performance. Evaluate and track sales performance against goals and provide insights for improvement. Assist in training and onboarding new sales team members on processes, tools, and best practices. Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as a liaison between sales and other departments such as marketing, finance, and customer success. Work with marketing to ensure alignment on lead generation, qualification, and nurturing processes. Partner with finance to support sales forecasting, budgeting, and compensation. Expectation to understand, participate in, and support company COS initiatives, with focus on developing a lean mindset. Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively with various teams. Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in data visualization tools. Familiarity with sales methodologies and process improvement techniques

Education and Experience:

Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Marketing or a related field Five plus years of experience in sales operations, sales analytics or a related field Minimum of two (2) years in a management or lead role Proven expertise in CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics platforms Preferred: MBA is a plus

Working Conditions:

Office setting or dedicated workspace in a home office setting Ability to high-speed internet connection to facilitate video calls, CRM management and other project related activities. Individual will occasionally be in a plant environment where it may be dirt, dusty, and hotter/colder than office settings.
