Manager, SAP Functional

 

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced SAP Functional Team Manager to lead and oversee the functional team responsible for SAP modules including MM, SD, PP, WM, FSCM, FICO, and boundary applications. This role requires a manager who is not only adept at guiding and mentoring a diverse team of SAP professionals but also possesses strong hands-on skills in either Finance (FI) or Supply Chain Management (SCM). The ideal candidate will drive the successful implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of SAP systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

Lead and manage the functional team, ensuring optimal performance and collaboration across all SAP tracks (MM, SD, PP, WM, FSCM, FICO, and boundary applications). Mentor and develop team members, fostering professional growth and building expertise within the team.

 

Hands-On SAP Expertise:

Provide hands-on support and expertise in SAP modules, with a strong focus on either FI or SCM. Analyze business requirements, design functional solutions, and configure SAP systems to meet organizational needs.

 

Project Management:

Oversee the planning and execution of SAP-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets. Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and manage project deliverables and resources.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with other IT and business units to ensure seamless integration and operation of SAP systems with boundary applications. Act as a liaison between technical teams and business users, translating technical capabilities into business solutions.

 

System Maintenance and Improvement:

Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the SAP environment to optimize performance and functionality. Ensure the reliability, security, and compliance of SAP systems.

 

Problem-Solving:

Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, providing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures. Support end-users by addressing functional and technical inquiries.

 

Required Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.

 

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of SAP functional experience, with proven expertise in either FI or SCM. At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role. Hands-on experience configuring and supporting multiple SAP modules, including MM, SD, PP, WM, FSCM, and FICO. Experience with boundary applications and their integration with SAP.

 

Preferred Skills:

Excellent leadership and team management skills. Solid understanding of SAP best practices and methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Project management certifications (e.g., PMP) is a plus. SAP certification in any of the FI/CO and/or SCM modules. SAP S4 HANA Implementation and Support Experience a Plus

Work Environment:

Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

 

Pay Range: $126,253-$185,171.

 

This “base salary range” is a reasonable estimate for this position at the time of posting. Pay within each range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, to primary work job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
