The Schwab Digital Fraud and Enterprise Middleware team is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager\Scrum Master who can lead multiple scrum teams at the same time. Ideal candidates must thrive in a fast-paced team environment, have a strong passion for technology and innovation and experience working with Confluent Kafka Platform project. As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for working within a scrum team to scale and enhance platform resiliency and availability, automation test suites, build supporting applications, optimize operational process and to support business critical projects.

What you are good at

Execute on Scrum Master responsibilities that include organizing and facilitating daily stand-up meetings, backlog refinement, reviews and demos, sprint, and release planning, and using retrospective data for continuous improvement.Influence team members to leverage, follow and support agile software development practices.Interface with key stakeholders in Project Management, Business, QA, and Technology Operations to ensure high quality delivery of software projects on time and budget.Track internal and external Project dependencies. Provide accurate and succinct updates and escalations (with business impacts). Serve and support team by removing impediments and partnering with Senior Managers, internal and external teams.Assist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition; Identify and remove impediments; prevent distractions that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver the sprint goal; Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution.Empower the teams to self-organize; improve the productivity of the sprint teams; ensure that the team strives to make each increment of functionality potentially releasable. Utilize scrum tools and frameworks to achieve efficiency both internally and externally.Ensure the coordination of individual team deliverables are synchronized as necessary to achieve product releases.Identify gaps/risks early and establish mitigation plans.Track and communicate team velocity, sprint/release progress and maintain process documentation.

 

What you have

 

Must have or had Scrum Master certification with 3+ years Scrum Master Experience.2+ years working in Confluent Kafka Platform Scrum\Kanban teams.3-5 years of Schwab technology domain experience as a current or recent contractor or employeeKanban experience would be a plus.Experience using Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) and maintaining Scrum Boards including feature break down to Epics, User Stories, Tasks and Subtasks.Aware of Software delivery tools including Bitbucket, GitHub, PCF, and Harness.Thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.Must be an excellent collaborator with the ability to influence and negotiate.Experience working with agile methodology on large scale, technically complex projects.Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle.Highly adaptable to changing environment.Must have exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills.Ability to coach teams to reach their highest potential.Must be initiative-taking, as well as, creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems. Must be collaborative in driving decisions and able to deal with multiple projects and deadlines.Ability to hold team members accountable, set clear sprint performance standards, resolve sprint performance issues, keep team engaged and on task. Experience working in the financial industry and aware of basic financial concepts.Experience working and knowledgeable on Event Streaming platform like Confluent Kafka.Experience taking Business requirement and writing technical requirement using BDD.Excellent communication and influencing skills, written and verbal.Initiative-taker, organized, ability to work on multiple projects and handle multiple scrum teams.
