As Manager of Security Engineering , ideal candidate is expected to:
+ Provide technical leadership and management of Security projects from conception through deployment and handover.
+ Lead a team of security engineers (FTES and Contractors): You will manage a team of security engineers and provide technical guidance to ensure the successful implementation of security measures. You will also oversee the recruitment, training, and development of security personnel.
+ Manage and lead technical staff in accordance with WBD’s policies and structures.
+ Collaborate with our corporate functions, including Internal Audit, Legal and Compliance, Privacy, and Sourcing, to ensure that WBD maintains a strong cybersecurity posture.
+ Develop and maintain a comprehensive vision and strategy for enterprise-wide security engineering initiatives in order to effectively and securely support the organization in meeting specific business technology needs.
+ Drive consideration of cybersecurity tools and datasets to enhance detective and preventive control sets.
+ Understand technical security issues and the implications to WBD businesses and be able to communicate them to management and other business leaders.
+ Understand emerging security technologies and determine the appropriate use within business applications.
+ Maintain and enforce WBD’s cybersecurity policies, standards, baselines, and secure design documentation.
+ Maintain and enhance cybersecurity tools and ensure full adoptions and peak operational performance.
+ Develop and implement security engineering standards, procedures, and guidelines that ensure the security, reliability, and availability of the organization's systems and solutions.
+ Conduct security audits and assessments: You will regularly assess the effectiveness of security measures and identify areas for improvement.
+ Manage and support enterprise security tools (such as EDR, SIEM, VM Tools, Deception Technology, SOAR, etc.); ensure availability and efficacy of tools, vendor and stakeholder engagements, continuous enhancements in the overall security coverages and tools operations, etc.
Your Role Accountabilities:
+ Plan, design, engineer and implement security-related technologies
+ Provide technical leadership and management of Security projects from conception through deployment and handover.
+ Manage and support enterprise security tools (such as EDR, SIEM, VM Tools, Deception Technology, SOAR, etc.); ensure availability and efficacy of tools, vendor and stakeholder engagements, continuous enhancements in the overall security coverages and tools operations, etc.
+ Conduct security audits and assessments to regularly determine the effectiveness of security platforms and identify areas of improvement.
+ Host and operating systems hardening, auditing, monitoring and logging with appropriate security controls and best practices while meeting security best practices and business goals
+ Research and explore emerging security technologies and determine their appropriate use within the company.
+ Prepare, document, and create standard operating procedures and protocols. Cross-train and mentor other team members as needed
Qualifications & Experiences:
+ A minimum of 5+ years of experience in security engineering, with at least 5 years in a security leadership role.
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience working with enterprise security tools
+ Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams of security engineers.
+ 5 + years of successfully implementing advanced cyber security technology in a complex environment
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or other related discipline or 5+ years of previous technical security experience
+ Hands on technical experience with compliance and regulatory frameworks and how they affect architecture designs and reviews.
+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, specifically the ability to communicate within the context of the intended audience, whether that be senior executives or highly technical engineering resources.
+ Minimum 5+ years hands-on experience in managing enterprise security tools such as Vulnerability Management Tools, Security Orchestration solutions, Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM), endpoint security tools, etc.
+ Driving continual operational excellence ensuring Infosec provides great service to its internal customers.
+ Hands on technical experience with compliance and regulatory frameworks and how they affect architecture designs and reviews.
+ Proven track record of successfully designing, implementing, and managing security systems and solutions for large-scale and complex organizations.
+ E xperience in leading a distributed team that provides 24/7 operational support and excellent service delivery is a plus.
Not Required but preferred experience:
+ Security and Cloud certifications are a plus. (CISSP, etc.)
+ Experience in Cloud Platform Management and Cloud Security
