Manager, Shift Production (B1)
Primary Responsibilities: Oversees all activities within the Production unit, including but not limited to: Hiring, promotion recommendations and disciplinary actions; Production area policy creation and implementation; Analysis of production metrics; Management of large scale operations projects and continuous improvement Sets and enforces specific performance expectations of Quality, Cost, Organization, and Commitment to the production management The Unit Business Manager will initiate the CIC allocations the first (4) hrs of the shift. Ultimately, will be responsible for ensuring the CIC allocations are being followed and the Unit Leader’s collaborating with CIC to meet business needs and customer standards. Provides training and guidance to Unit Leaders on customer specs, packing production processes, and health\food safety Oversees and advises on quality inspection activities within the Maintains effective communication and teamwork between departments (Shipping, Receiving) to get orders out on time and at the lowest Plans, requests and monitors packaging supply inventory and ensure availability to meet daily production Provides regular production reports daily, weekly and monthly, with recommendations on how to improve production metrics and Facilitate a weekly meeting with the Unit Admin team to discuss issues and highlight concerns, responsible for communicating any changes in company policy and Schedule Admin staff, including time

 

Education/Background Requirements: College degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field Three years’ experience in a production environment Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Demonstrated ability to multi-task. A proven track record of managing large groups of employees as an active floor Proficiency in use of English language with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally, present information and direction, and field questions from managers, employees and external Proficient in computer-use skills (MS Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Willingness to work independently, with minimal supervision and take ownership of Experience in the perishable goods industry Working knowledge of a second language, bilingual Strong knowledge of local, state and federal laws and requirements to maintain compliance to all relevant statues and guiding principles (FDA, USDA, MIOSHA, OSHA, CFIA). A high degree of professionalism and personal Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Need to be creative, adaptable and able to accurately handle out-of-the-ordinary issues with a sense of Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended workdays on different

 

Working Conditions: Environment includes an expansive refrigerated warehouse, where the temperature averages 50°F. The background noise approaches 70 Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
